It all started with the dream of the brothers Kruithof to run their own hotel & restaurant. The two Dutch men are from the island Texel in the North Sea.
Arnejan, the younger one is the head chef and therefore responsible for the kitchen, he gained experience in well known Dutch restaurants before coming to Germany. He is passionate about his work and requests to work only fresh and high quality products.
Diederik worked in 4 and 5 star hotels in different countries. He started as a Management Trainee and quickly developed himself in order to become Food and Beverage Manager. When he started in the new Hilton Hotel in Dublin, he met his girlfriend Cornelia who shares his passion for hospitality. Cornelia is originally from the Black Forest and introduced the two brothers in summer 2011 to the lovely city of Freiburg. Since September 2011 the hotel & restaurant Kreuzblume is operated by the three professionals.
